Why should I serve?
1 Corinthians 12 compares the church to the body, where each part has a very important function. For the church to work as God intends, the entire body must be doing its part. That’s why serving is important! Because of the gifts God has given you, you have a special part to play at LCC, as we strive to lead people to Christ and make disciples.
I know that serving benefits the church, but what will it do for me?
Jesus was the ultimate servant and it is our desire to be just like Him. Serving not only gives you the satisfaction of using your gifts and talents in a fulfilling way, but it’s also a great way to meet people and build community. Many of our serve teams become like mini connect groups as they build relationships and do life together.
